Tech "Playground" / Demo Application

NOTE: Application deadline for our 2017 event is Friday, June 30th.

Are you a Seacoast engineer, inventor, maker, technology professional or enthusiast interested in bringing your technology to our next TEDx event? TEDxPiscataquaRiver is seeking innovative technology to be shared at our 2017 conference at 3S Artspace.

Playground: We'll have some space in the 3S Artspace gallery to set up a "tech playground" for our attendees to enjoy during event breaks. Technology for this space should be innovative and interactive.

Demo: The ideal demo will feature an interesting piece of technology that can be showcased in 3S' gallery (and, ideally, interacted with by our attendees), tell us about something new and innovative, or offer a new lens on a tech topic. It can be something that might change the way we do things in the future, or the way we think about them. If it's a demo you're proposing, the tech you show us can be simple or complex, tiny or big, homemade or slick, weird or elegant. It can come from a company, a university lab or a kid in the garage. Regardless, it should be innovative and smart with the potential to make a positive impact on some little corner of the world. Whether your demo remains in the gallery for attendees to view and interact with during breaks, or is showcased by a brief demo on stage, we'll want to know why you're uniquely qualified to share the technology at TEDxPiscataquaRiver.

Technology applications should be submitted by June 30, 2017 and your tech will need to be completed by September 2017. Interested? Apply below!

We're looking to unveil previously unseen technology, work that hasn’t yet been reported on or shared via YouTube, etc. Does your work fit these qualifications?
Why TEDx? Why TEDxPiscataquaRiver?
It doesn't need to be anything fancy and can be shot from a webcam. Please upload a newly recorded 1-minute video to YouTube or Vimeo and paste the link below. Make sure to label your video as: "Your Name-Your City" eg "Gopal Singh-Shanghai". If you would like to keep your video private, please make sure to send us the password.
If yes, please send them to:
We will have completed tech demo application reviews by August 8th and will respond to your application by then. We will need the completed demo by September 6th. Submission means you give permission to display them at the event, and to be photographed for sharing online alongside the stories. If we videotape the tech demo segment, your work may also be displayed on the TEDxTalks YouTube channel. We will need a release form signed from you if that is the case.
